The report highlights AIIMS Delhi’s strong ability to handle very high patient volumes with clinical precision, a key factor behind its global recognition. Its overall brand strength score of 79.9 places it among the strongest hospital brands worldwide.

Two Indian hospitals are featured in the Top 15 this year. While AIIMS, New Delhi has improved its ranking from last year from seventh to sixth, Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai is ranked 13th. Last year Tata Memorial was ranked 9th.

According to Brand Finance, AIIMS enjoys near-universal recognition among healthcare professionals globally, particularly for delivering quality care at scale—especially in low- and middle-income country settings.

The report also noted a growing emphasis on research at AIIMS. From translational science to large clinical studies aligned with national health needs, the institute’s expanding research footprint is increasingly influencing clinical practice and public health policy.

AIIMS scored 79.4 in research—reflecting the depth and consistency of its scientific output—and 76.1 in care delivery, demonstrating its ability to manage complex clinical services efficiently at exceptionally high patient volumes.

AIIMS Director Prof. M. Srinivas said the recognition reflects the institute’s commitment to patient-centred care rooted in dignity, affordability, and scientific excellence.
