New Delhi, February 18, 2026: The Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) successfully organized its second blood donation camp today at its premises in collaboration with GTB Hospital, witnessing inspiring participation from doctors, hospital staff, and dedicated volunteers.
In a powerful gesture of leadership and compassion, doctors led from the front by donating blood themselves, setting a motivating example for others. Their initiative encouraged staff members and volunteers to step forward with confidence and enthusiasm, creating a strong sense of unity and community service. The camp received an overwhelming response, with donors expressing pride in contributing to a life-saving cause.
Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director, DSCI, emphasized the importance of doctors taking the lead, stating, “When doctors donate blood themselves, it builds trust and inspires the entire community. This camp reflects our shared responsibility toward saving lives and promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation.”
Dr. Ravinder Singh, Joint Director, DSCI, highlighted the collective effort behind the initiative. “The enthusiastic participation of our staff and volunteers demonstrates the true power of teamwork in healthcare. Guest of Honour Dr. Richa Gupta, Incharge, Blood Bank, GTB Hospital, praised the spirit of compassion and teamwork displayed during the camp. Another Guest of Honour, Dr. Ishita Pant, Assistant Professor, Pathology, IHBAS, underlined the significance of voluntary blood donation. “Voluntary blood donation is one of the simplest yet most powerful acts of kindness. Today’s participation shows how collective effort can create meaningful impact,” she said.
Medical professionals ensured strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols, providing a smooth and reassuring experience for all donors. As a gesture of appreciation, donors were presented with certificates and gifts recognizing their generous contribution.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Monika Gupta, Assistant Professor, Onco-Pathology, DSCI, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to doctors, staff, and volunteers for making the camp a meaningful success.
