‘Resign or Face Nationwide Mobilisation’: CJP’s Abhijeet Dipke Issues Ultimatum

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led movement that has gained significant attention in recent weeks, has announced plans to expand its protests across India if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign within the next few days.

The warning came from CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who has emerged as a prominent voice for students demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment processes.

Speaking after a major protest held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, Dipke reiterated his demand for the minister’s resignation, arguing that repeated controversies surrounding national examinations have affected the futures of millions of students.

According to Dipke, if no action is taken by June 13, the movement will intensify and spread to multiple cities and states across the country.

The protest movement has drawn attention for its unusual origins. What began as a satirical online campaign under the banner of the Cockroach Janta Party has rapidly evolved into a larger youth-led platform focused on issues such as education, unemployment, and examination transparency.

The movement has attracted widespread support on social media and has resonated with many students frustrated by recurring exam-related controversies.

During the Delhi demonstration, thousands of supporters gathered to express their concerns about the state of the education system.

Protesters called for greater accountability from authorities and demanded reforms to ensure fairness and transparency in competitive examinations.

Organisers described the gathering as peaceful and constitutional in nature, emphasizing that future demonstrations would also remain non-violent.

Dipke has maintained that the movement is not limited to a single issue. According to him, repeated allegations of paper leaks, examination disruptions, and recruitment-related concerns have created widespread anxiety among students and job aspirants. He argues that those responsible for overseeing these systems must be held accountable.

The CJP founder has also announced a phased strategy if the resignation demand is not met.

The first stage would involve protests in various states and cities, followed by a larger mobilisation in the national capital.

Dipke stated that students from different parts of the country could come together in New Delhi for another major demonstration if the issue remains unresolved.
