The sacred night of Mahashivratri at the Isha Yoga Center is set to become even more significant this year as India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the celebrations as Chief Guest on February 15, 2026. The event will also witness the presence of several distinguished leaders, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan, along with other prominent dignitaries.
Guided by yogi and mystic Sadhguru, the night-long Mahashivratri celebration is expected to unite devotion, meditation, music, and spiritual exploration. With live broadcasts across more than 100 television channels and digital platforms in 23 languages, the event is projected to reach over 140 million viewers worldwide, making it one of the largest spiritual gatherings globally.
The celebrations begin with the Pancha Bhuta Kriya at the Dhyanalinga — a powerful cleansing ritual honouring the five elements of nature: earth, water, fire, air, and space. This will be followed by the grand Linga Bhairavi Maha Yatra, a vibrant procession celebrating the divine feminine energy.
Music will form a central part of the night’s spiritual atmosphere. Renowned artists including Aditya Gadhvi, Prashant Sonagra and team, and the Sounds of Isha ensemble will perform alongside Swaroop Khan, Blaaze, Paradox, Swagat Rathod, and Prithvi Gandharv, blending folk traditions with contemporary sounds.
In the days leading up to Mahashivratri, Isha’s classical festival “Yaksha” will feature celebrated artists such as Carnatic vocalist Sikkil Gurucharan, Hindustani singer Rahul Deshpande, and Bharatanatyam dancer Meenakshi Srinivasan.

For the first time, Sadhguru will personally conduct the Yogeshwara Linga Maha Abhishekam, offering devotees worldwide an opportunity to connect with the sacred energy. Another major highlight will be the Adiyogi Divya Darshanam — a spectacular light and sound show that brings the iconic 112-foot Adiyogi statue to life, narrating the origin of yoga.
At midnight, Sadhguru will lead participants in the Mahamantra initiation, followed by a powerful meditation during Brahma Muhurtam (3:40 am), designed to harness the night’s unique planetary alignment. Known as the “Great Night of Shiva,” Mahashivratri is believed to be a powerful time for spiritual growth due to a natural upsurge of energy in the human system.
The 12-hour celebration will be streamed live globally starting 6 PM IST on February 15 through Sadhguru’s YouTube channels and major television networks, inviting seekers worldwide to participate in this extraordinary spiritual night.
