Television actress Akanksha Chamola has officially confirmed that she and actor Gaurav Khanna are heading for divorce.
Speaking on the premiere episode of Lock Upp Season 2, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Akanksha revealed that the couple has been living separately for the past one year. She said the decision to part ways was mutual and stemmed from differences in their outlook towards the future.
“We have been living separately for the last one year,” Akanksha shared, adding that they had deliberately chosen to keep the matter private until now.
Explaining the reason behind the split, she said that both of them realized they were not compatible as life partners and wanted different things from life. Despite ending their marriage, Akanksha emphasized that there is no bitterness or hostility between them.
She clarified that the separation has been amicable and that they continue to remain in touch. According to Akanksha, the decision was taken with mutual understanding and respect.
