A wedding celebration in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, took an unexpected and embarrassing turn when a shortage of rasgullas triggered a full-blown brawl between guests. What should have been a night of joy quickly spiralled into chaos, with punches thrown, chairs flying, and food counters turning into battlegrounds. The incident, captured on CCTV, has now gone viral, sparking shock — and disbelief — on social media.
The fight reportedly broke out on November 29 during a wedding hosted at a private hotel in Bodh Gaya. According to local reports, the groom arrived with his baraat from Hathiyar village. But the festivities derailed when guests complained that the dessert counter had run out of rasgullas. Tempers flared, and within seconds, members from both the bride’s and groom’s sides were seen attacking each other, grabbing cutlery, throwing chairs, and exchanging blows.
What began as a scuffle over sweets soon escalated into a violent clash, injuring several people. The situation got so out of control that the bride’s family later refused to proceed with the marriage. As tensions rose, the groom and his entire baraat had no option but to return home without the bride — a dramatic ending no one had anticipated.
CCTV footage shows the chaos inside the banquet hall, with guests lunging at each other while stunned onlookers tried to escape the scene. The bizarre incident has since sparked discussions on social media about crowd behaviour, mismanagement, and the growing trend of small triggers leading to big fights at weddings.
What should have been a night of celebration ended in humiliation — all because the rasgullas ran out.
