AIIMS Retains No. 1 Spot Among India’s Medical Universities; JIPMER, BHU Follow in The Week Rankings 2026
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has once again secured the top position among India’s medical universities in The Week Medical University Rankings 2026, reaffirming its leadership in medical education, research and patient care.
The recognition highlights AIIMS’ continued excellence in healthcare, academics, innovation and scientific research. The award was presented during The Week Education Conclave 2026 held in New Delhi by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh.
The honour was received on behalf of the institute by Acting Director Dr Nikhil Tandon.
