New Delhi: Ahead of its theatrical release on June 12, Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has received a major boost in the national capital. Following a special screening of the film in Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the film will be made tax-free in the city.
The special event was attended by Kangana Ranaut, senior Union Ministers, Delhi government representatives and several distinguished guests. The screening was part of the film’s nationwide campaign aimed at honouring the unsung heroes who contribute tirelessly to society and the nation.
Expressing her gratitude, Kangana thanked Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for attending the screening and supporting the film.
Speaking at the event, Kangana said, “On behalf of the entire cast and crew of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, I would like to thank Hon’ble Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The entire country has seen the work she has done for Delhi. Her efforts deserve recognition, and I am grateful that she immediately agreed to attend the screening when invited.”
Kangana also acknowledged the presence of fellow parliamentarians and dignitaries who took time out to support the film and its message.
After watching the film, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta praised its theme and announced that Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata would be tax-free in Delhi.
Addressing the audience, Rekha Gupta said, “Kangana Ranaut is a strong voice in Parliament and someone who consistently speaks for Indian cinema and the people of the country. Through this film, she highlights an important message—that patriotism and service are not limited to those in uniform. Every citizen who contributes to the nation in their own way is a true Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.”
She further added that ordinary citizens who step forward during challenging times are the real strength of the country and deserve recognition.
The evening was attended by several prominent leaders, including Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Health and AYUSH Pratap Rao Jadhav, Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh and Delhi Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood.
As part of the film’s ongoing campaign, Kangana and CM Rekha Gupta also felicitated several frontline workers and community heroes from Delhi. Individuals including Nishi Pathak, Pushpa, Suman, Menaka, Namrata Yadav, Niti Sharma, BK Khurana and Shashi Lal were honoured with Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata badges for their dedication and service.
The makers have been conducting similar screenings across different cities, recognising police personnel, nurses, ward boys, sanitation workers, security staff and other support workers whose contributions often go unnoticed.
